About Us

Launer & Associates is a real estate appraisal and consulting firm, located in Bakersfield, established in 1985. Our goal is to provide our clients with timely, accurate market information presented in a professional manner. The purpose of an appraisal is to provide you, the client, with an estimate of value that you can use in your real estate decision making. The client has the right to expect an objective value opinion based on accurate data, reasonable analysis and sound judgment.

Our principal appraiser, Michael Launer, holds the MAI and SRA professional designations. The MAI and SRA designations are awarded upon mastery of the Appraisal Institute's curriculum, including single family residential, commercial office, retail, industrial, multi-family, and vacant land properties, including subdivisions. Once designated, members participate in a continuing education program. Members who meet the minimum standards of this program are awarded periodic education certification. Michael Launer is currently certified under this program through December 31, 2017. These members adhere to the Appraisal Institute's strictly enforced Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
